Is it just my evil computer, or is LJ being difficult again? All weekend it refused to let me leave comments at all, and now it's leaving twenty at a time. Since nothing I have to say is clever enough to require twenty of, I think I won't comment on anything for a day or two more. Which is frustrating. So if any of you get responses to old entries in a few days, don't be too surprised. Stupid LJ.

Okay, now that I've forgotten why I wanted to post (it wasn't to complain, although that has its own pleasures), back to watching old music videos. Old, like mid-80's old. I've always loved the video for "Head Over Heels," I must admit. "Everlasting Love," too- whatever happened to Howard Jones? And Michael Hutchence was one sexy bastard indeed. Poor guy.

I'll keep taking these PotC quizzies as long as they give me pretty pics of Jack to enjoy. I'm easy like that. )

From the always loony Julie/Julia Project:

"And then I punished Eric for various crimes by making him watch Newsies. Christian Bale, I have come to understand, it absolutely fucking yummy, even when singing badly and playing a newsboy.

But not so yummy as Johnny Depp. If I've been a little distracted for this post, it is not only because there’s been so much ground to cover. There is also the matter of Pirates of the Caribbean. This is a movie that has no right to exist, it’s absolutely reprehensible, and of course Jerry Bruckheimer needs to be shot. Except. Oh. My. Fucking. God. Johnny Depp, in case we had any doubts left, is a FUCKING GENIUS. The man deserves an Oscar for this performance, or would if it wasn't so obvious he could do it in his fucking sleep. My GOD. I have already informed Eric of the fact that should I ever be trapped in some Parisian bistro during a transit strike with Mr. Depp, Eric and Johnny's wife and children notwithstanding, I will have no choice but to have my way with him about six ways from Sunday."

All of life's riddles are answered in the movies."

I keep pondering that book meme that everyone has done recently, and despite my love of talking about myself and my books, I don't think I'll end up doing it. Too indecisive and too lazy. The movie version of it, though, that I can do with my brain tied behind my back. And so I shall )
