Small Without a Trace spoiler

About Jack (because really, isn't everything?):

From Variety:

"Oscar-winning thesp Martin Landau is visiting a place he hasn't been in a very long time: episodic television.

Landau has inked a deal to appear in at least three episodes of CBS' Thursday night drama Without a Trace. He'll play Anthony LaPaglia's father, a man who suffers from Alzheimer's."

Hm. Well, I like Martin Landau, but I'm having a hard time picturing him as Anthony LaPaglia's father. Supposedly Dad Malone first appears in 2x20, in which Martin's aunt goes missing. There's also a rumor of the return in that ep of the nothingness that is Martin/Sam. Oh good. We wouldn't have wanted to leave that out. sigh

Good God, it's like one thing after another! Let's all pack it in in the same ep! Gotta make it dramatic.

::sigh:: And I wonder why I prefer my AY boarding school universe.

Which I was just heading off to read (eeeee!). Ze timing, she ees good.

And ITA. After all, piling on mountains of personal angst worked so well in "Copycat" (incidentally the first place we heard about Jack's father. Funny thing, that.). TPTB have some very strange ideas about balance and timing, it seems.

::smacks self:: That was supposed to be AM. I suck today. ::sigh::

I swear, Hollywood is so ridiculous. One thing works and they think that copying it ad nauseum is going to work, too. Despite the fact that, you know, most of the time they're wrong. A Cinema guy I know was talking about The Passion the other day and he simulated a conversation that was going on in the exec suites of the studios: "The Passion made how much?! Get me a Jesus movie!"

And let's not even start on balance. I don't think the writers have ever encountered the concept. though, with Hollywood, that's not exactly surprising...

Heh, I knew what you meant. And I still haven't left you feedback, so obviously I suck more. *g* I have read it four times with much gleeful squeeing, though, so it's sure as heckfire not because I'm trying to think of a way to say, "Erm, well, that's nice." My problem is that English always turns into "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" when I go to comment, and that's no good a'tall.

One thing works and they think that copying it ad nauseum is going to work, too.

Oh sure, why would we want variety? If something's good once, it must be even better a thousand times, right? Which reminds me, I wonder if Gary Sinese is going to do CSI: New York after all.

"The Passion made how much?! Get me a Jesus movie!"

Hee! I bet ABC was happy they let their Judas tv movie sit on the shelf for two years, since it ended up timed nicely to the Passion hype. Ugh.

LOL! And this has me squeeing gleefully and happy all around. Seriously, made my day. But, whoa, four times?! How have you had time for that? But, it's all right. Knowing you like it is good enough. :D

::happy dance::

If something's good once, it must be even better a thousand times, right?

Of course. So, you know, start another crime show in NY. Give us yet another in a long line of indistinguishable law dramas. Apparently, we can't tell the difference!

I bet. And Bravo's been reairing The Last Temptation of Christ like every damn day! But honestly? That movie's making a hell of a lot of money. It's shocking everyone in the industry. They all expected it to top at maybe 40 million the first week and then drop like a stone. And now it's made over 100 million and is still going strong. Talk about a big ol' smack upside the head.

Is it wrong that I just love it when big movie exces get egg all over their faces? It's nice to have their arrogance so publicly paraded...

Oh. Geez. I can hardly contain my excitement.

BHOK!

Hee! Yep, me too. Poor keyboards. *g* Your icon is rather fitting, under the circumstances. I wonder if Danny and Viv will even have time to squeeze into this ep. Sheesh.

Snerk. Poor keyboards, indeed. *g* I doubt we'll see more than two minutes of Danny or Viv in that ep. ::pout::

oooh!

Heck, I thought he was dead! This is terrific!! He's a brilliant actor.

Yeah, as much as I'm not thrilled by more Jack-angst, the thought of Martin Landau on the show is very exciting. All of their guest stars should be so talented!
