And not happy ones (though I haven't confirmed them from another source yet, so...). Here's the post from the FFF, but the upshot is that the rumored score release has been shuffled to the bottom of the pile at Fox, and if it happens at all, it'll probably be as a series of downloads rather than a CD. It's all rumors of rumors at this point, so I don't know how upset to get, but it probably wouldn't hurt to drop Fox a line and let them know that there's interest in a CD release. Personally, I think Greg Edmonson's score was interesting, beautiful, and far more worthy of release than the bulk of the cinematic scores produced in the past few years, but I lack the necessary cash to bribe the right people. Pity.

Oh, and a meme nicked from [livejournal.com profile] cruisedirector and [livejournal.com profile] cortese- Put your username into the online dictionary at Merriam-Webster and see what it suggests. It seems that [livejournal.com profile] ealgylden (a perfectly fine English word. Not modern English, but...) gets one:

1. elegantly
2. algolagnia
3. Englished
4. illegalized
5. illegalize
6. algaecide
7. illegality
8. al-Ghazali
9. Anglican
10. algaecides

Well, not so much with #2, "a perversion (as sadism or masochism) characterized by pleasure and especially sexual gratification in inflicting or suffering pain." Oh dear. Apparently I'm not fond of the law or algae either. But at least I'm suave and, um, English. Okay then.

Sadly, M-W tells me my username is perfectly acceptable. Serves me right for choosing a modern place name, I guess.

Ah well, at least you have intelligible meaning. Or, um, location. That's a plus, right? Yeah, it's Wales, so definitely a plus. *g*

Hey there! Sorry it's taken me so long to respond- my computer (my new, supposedly not evil computer) decided it needed a vacation. It does that. The "not evil" factor is a cruel lie.

If nothing else, this meme is good for one's vocabulary. "Lanneret" is definitely a better choice than some. "Lionhearted" too. Keen. *g*
