See, now, this is why I'm in no hurry for them ever to film Good Omens. It's not that I doubt the abilities of either Mos Def or Zooey Deschanel. Quite the contrary, really. I think they're both rather talented. It's just that I could have sat here for a million, billion years naming actors I could see in Hitchhiker's Guide, and they would not have come to mind. Ever. So it's a good thing we won't see this before 2005. I think this will require some adjustment time.

A "hip-hop artist" is playing Ford??? And Disney is doing the HHGTG movie? Oh god, kill me now...

I'm also pissed that Hugh Laurie won't be Arthur. Dammit, Douglas Adams said Hugh would've been his choice! Who the hell is Martin Freeman?

Is Mos Def British? Are there British hip-hop singers?

*boggles, then cries*

There are British hip-hop singers, but Mr. Def (heh) is from Brooklyn. He's actually a pretty good actor, just... not Ford. Not my Ford, anyway. I just can't see it.

Martin Freeman was in The Office, but I've never watched that. I mean, I hear it's funny, but I've never heard anything about Freeman specifically. Fingers crossed, I guess. (I mourn for the lost Hugh-as-Arthur opportunity, though. Hardly seems fair.)
