"Absolutely my favourite moment in the entire film. You can hear it all in Boromir's voice, I said we should make for the gap of Rohan, we could have had reinforcements and been halfway to Mordor. I said this was a bad idea, but no, nobody listens to Boromir, we have to follow the directions of a halfling who doesn't know which way up to hold the map and now we have to fight Orcs and... 'They have a cave troll.'"

Date: 2003-10-12 06:33 am (UTC)Oh, me too. I didn't hate book!Boromir, but he was far from my favorite character. But SB's performance was so textured and so sensitive that I fell and fell hard for the character. Movie!Boromir is so wonderful that he's even vastly improved my opinion of book!Boromir, which is a nice side effect (though the lack of the visuals and the voice are a shame).
