Hey, [livejournal.com profile] sarahchica! Hey, [livejournal.com profile] carolinecrane (oh wait, she's off in the wide world still). Hey, everybody I haven't annoyed by name yet! No, I don't have exciting new spoilers about the PTB finally recognizing the rightness of Nick/Greg. Sorry about that (though wouldn't that be neat?). I just wanted to point to a new LJ that [livejournal.com profile] cruisedirector has started: [livejournal.com profile] csifiles. It's a daily news headlines thingie for both CSI and CSI: Cheap Ripoff. So check it out and spread the word!

(I really want those 20 icons muy quick. I don't have room for CSI or WaT with only 10, and I always end up using my Brimstone one instead. That just seems weird, somehow.)

It should really be CSI: Mistake or CSI: Piece of Crap or even CSI: Waste of Space. Can you tell I don't like tha version?

Hey, you'll get no argument from me. I've only been able to sit through one complete episode (the one with Sean Maher), and it was torture. CSI:M would been an appallingly lousy show even if we didn't have such a great parent show to compare it to, but that certainly doesn't help it any.

Yeah, it would definitely still suck. I watched a few episodes, including the one with Ben Browder, but it's so hard to stomach it. Rory can only do so much.

I tried to watch Ben's ep, but I didn't make it through. I'm sure there are screencaps out there if I get desperate. I did watch Adam Baldwin's episode, sort of, and that was okay. Of course, he was only in it for two minutes, and then I turned it off. The show just has this creepy, salacious edge to it that CSI doesn't, and it seems a lot gorier (dunno if it is, but it sure seems it). And Horatio's always leering and whispering at people. shudder

Dude. Horatio is fucking WEIRD. I mean, there was an ep with a little kid or something and at the end Horatio walked to a park filled with little kids and WATCHED THEM. He was wearing a black suit and, honestly, I was all "if I was a mother and saw that man staring at my children? I'd freak out."

Yikes, that's creepy. How did this guy ever get so far up in the ranks? I haven't seen any evidence that he's a Gil-caliber genius, and he doesn't seem like much of a team leader either. He just seems like a self-righteous creep. I'll be sticking with the original flavor CSI and not the knock-off, that's for sure.

Yes. To all of that.

Also, I really don't like Horatio's whole 'i know everything' thing he has going on. Like, my friend Diane (who loves Rory) watches CSI:M (for Rory) and is always complaining about how Ho always seems to know everything and he's already figured it out and thus makes his little workers feel like shit. And I think it muse be in DC's contract that he has to be in almost every shot of the show. He's there all the time.

Exactly! That's exactly what he does, and it drives me up the wall. I want him to be really horribly wrong sometime and get knocked down a few pegs (without getting any of the okay characters killed, of course). Even more so, I want him to be horribly wrong and one of the others (Speedle, say, for the Rory fans *g*) to be right, and get to at least think loudly, if not say, "I told you so." He's just so utterly arrogant, and without any reason that I can see. And you're right, how lousy must that make his team feel? No way would the Vegas team stand for it.

And I think it muse be in DC's contract that he has to be in almost every shot of the show.

Hee! No kidding. You'd think he would have learned how to leash his ego a little after the whole "I'm going to ditch the show that made me a star for a fabulous film career" thing backfired so completely.

And this is totally random bitching now, but I hate that his name is Horatio. I've always liked characters named Horatio- Horatio Hornblower, Horatio in Hamlet, even Horatio Nelson in real life. And now here's this loser getting his cooties all over it. Grr. *g*

You're right. And, as I recall, they haven't stood for it. I believe there was a confrontation between Gris and Cath about something.

I wait for Speed to get tired of working in Miami, kill the rest of the characters off, and get away with it, because once you work with Ho, how can they blame him? And then he'll move to Vegas and everything will be peachy.

I totally agree with everything about his name. Plus, it's so pretenious of the show. Which is why I plan to start calling him Ho from now on.

Bwahaha! Beautiful! And here I've always figured Nicky would be the one to snap and murder the boss, but Speedle'd be even better. He'd fit in better with the Vegas team anyway, so he might as well. A Very Special Episode. Oh that would be so great.

It is pretentious (which I suppose makes it perfect for him, but still). I prefer Ho too. Good choice.

That's fabulous! Ha! If only ... *sigh*

I almost feel bad, cause I know people like the show. But ... ALMOST.

Dude, I so second that. I have a feeling even the 20 won't be enough to satisfy my icon-greedy self...

Nope, not for me either. We'll finally get 20 and soon I'll be "Why can't we have 30? We should get 30, definitely." They're addictive.
