you think this is bad, wait til all the appalling (that's appalling with TWO p's, thanks) Troy fic starts rolling in next spring. I shudder to think what these people are going to do with Ancient Greek...

Oh good lord, I didn't even think of that. All those names and places, ready for mangling. And spelling is basic stuff- what happens when they get their little hands on the culture and history? Ouch.

Heh, true. Considering that there's already at least one RPS community for it, I have no doubt there are lots of potential Troy-writers chomping at the bit. Heck, if I wrote fic, I'd be one of them.
