Geeky Whining (Again)

I just realized how close my birthday is. I tend to ignore them, and more than once I've forgotten entirely until my family mentions it. Anyway, know what I want this year?

MY GALADRIEL AND PROLOGUE ELF ACTION FIGURES! For the love of all that's geeky, I ordered them five months ago! Amok Time could have made them from scratch and carried them by hand to my door and I would have gotten them faster than this! What could possibly be holding them up? I know that they were short-packed figures, but my god, they aren't impossible to get! Guys, go to Ebay and buy them for me there if you can't get them from Toy Biz directly!

I haven't cancelled my order yet out of some vague sense of loyalty to Amok Time, but this is ridiculous. Why exactly am I being loyal at this point? Whatever goodwill they had earned in the past has been thoroughly devoured by this far-too-elongated sale. Grr!


(But I did finally manage to buy a copy of Sean Bean reading Sharpe's Tiger, so all is not lost in my fannish shopping adventures. Mmm, sexy Sean voice. At last, I've been trying to get that one for months.)
