Just... the obliviousness of some of these people. Okay, looking at the source, I'm hardly expecting Pulitzer-class observations here. But basic logic? Reading comprehension? Some knowledge of what magazine they're holding? I hardly know what to roll my eyes at first!

They frequently remind me of some of the more obsessed fen one encounters in fandom. These are the kind of people who spend hours trying to decode the sooper sekrit meaning behind what color pants Elijah Wood (or Julia Roberts, or whoever) wore to the grocery.

And it happens all the time! Some space cadet writes in whining, "why isn't blahblah current event or blahblah politician on the cover?" Because it's an entertainment rag! It has the Sexiest Man Alive and the Worst Dressed in Hollywood and gossip about who's fat and who's skinny and who's made of silicone! Come on!
