There are wild turkeys roaming all over my lawn. Hello, turkeys! Enjoy the fact that it isn't hunting season yet! For all that domestic turkeys are some of the dumbest animals in the barnyard (with sheep a very close second), wild turkeys are scarily smart. I wouldn't be at all surprised to wake up one day to a world ruled by evil wild turkey overlords. Just you wait and see.
Quick question for you guys. Has anyone ever returned an opened DVD to Amazon with good results? They say they'll do an exchange or a partial refund for a damaged item, but I've been having really bad luck with all sorts of customer service recently, so I figured I'd ask you guys first. Will they give me a hassle, do you think? I'm rather tired of hassles. I escaped the curse of the lousy packaging = loose, sliding, scratched DVDs with the first season of Angel, but my luck failed with S2. The first disc is a mess, and of course, Fox doesn't do such nice gestures as replace things that were wrecked because they screwed up. Ah ha ha ha. Silly me.
And I really, really don't like LJ's new update page. Almost as much as I don't like my email's new format (curse you, Care2!) or the fact that eBay is slightly different every time I go there recently (quit gaslighting me!). I wish they'd stop fixing things that aren't broken.
Lost tonight! Yay, a happy thing! Or so I hope...

Date: 2004-09-22 05:05 pm (UTC)I like the new update page, which looks very much like my semagic client. It's more compact (I frequently don't full-screen IE) and I can see the icon I've chosen. Of course I haven't used it yet because at home I use semagic, but it will be cool at work unless unforeseen glitches appear.
Ebay, now, they annoy me. Leave 'em alone for a month and I can't find my way around anymore. Phooey.

Date: 2004-09-22 06:36 pm (UTC)(Don't feel bad- I misspelled my name earlier, then deleted it... and misspelled it again. Oops.)

Date: 2004-09-22 07:03 pm (UTC)I've never used a client, and I don't like change (heh), so the new update page just isn't working for me. Eventually I'll get used to it, I guess, but right now it's just too wide, too busy, too weird, and nothing's quite in the right place. And I'm tired with all my websites being fiddled with as soon as my back is turned. It's making me twitchy. ;)

::snickers:: Probably why they wanted to make this our national bird way back when. Damn that bald eagle, anyway! How great would that have been?
(Though, now that I think about it, it'd have some rather disastrous consequences for Thanksgiving.)
