I've been a reader of your LJ for quite a while, though I only just thought to friend you (I'm not all that organized). Your current project of analysis of the LotR EEs is very interesting, and I've been hoping for a while that someone would chart Sam's use of "Frodo" vs. "Mr. Frodo," so thanks!
Actually, he's got the voice even as Smeagol (when he's encouraging Deagol with the fish - "Come on.") - also, the freakiest laugh ever.
Do you think so? It just sounded like regular Andy-voice to me, until he saw the Ring. I really do need to see it again. ITA on his laugh, though. Yikes.
But he can take down two mumakil with one spear and that's pretty damn cool.
