Poor Phileas! The stutter is just... aw, and then there's all the "I killed my friends!" angst, and Rebecca trying to convince him it's really her... sniff.
Yes, yes! Michael Praed does vulnerable very well, and I loved how he did the stutter. That's a hard thing to pull off and make it sound convincing.
There should be more SAJV fic (heh, I say that a lot). There's a little, but not nearly enough.
ITA. There are a few archives, but too many of the fics are het, shipping Phileas and Rebecca, which squicks me. I mean, cousins...bit of incest there. There are a few good gen stories, but slash is really really rare.
Aw, it sounds like a cute cartoon. I'll have to see if any of my stations are showing it.
