Oh neat, I'll have to try to get to that area, someday. It was really beautiful. One of these days (when I'm independently wealthy) I'm going to get out west and finally see some of these gorgeous landscape for real.

I somehow was very uncomfortable with Martin's interrogation of Alex. It just felt "off" somehow, and I kept expecting it to be a good cop/bad cop thing with the other person about to walk in. None of them seemed to have much to do as if the show was about the orgies more than our characters.

It did feel odd, and I'm not sure why. My Martin!brain, which desperately wants more info on his younger years, wants the reason to be something along the lines of overidentification/nonidentification with Alex. But I'm not sure that it's just not the lack of the give and take he normally has with Danny in those scenes. I don't think we've seen Martin run an interrogation on his own before, have we? We've seen Jack work solo, but not the Young Turks, as far as I know, and I kept waiting for Danny to wander in. And overall the balance between the characters and the case seemed off, like the team was in danger of fading into the background or being replaced with the cast of another show or something. I can barely even remember what any of them did except Martin (and to a lesser extent Sam), and it's only been a couple of hours. Strange feeling.

I sure hope Catherine doesn't hang onto that check, under the circumstances. No way it doesn't look like a payoff for what she did to the evidence that got her father off, even if that wasn't her intent.

I sure hope not. I was yelling at her to tear it up, or talk to Gil about it, or something. Anything except keep it. I know she needs the money, but there's no way she can keep that particular money without wrecking everything.

And I too loved seeing Czerny as the sheriff. Have you seen his "Taming of the Shrew" with Scott Wentworth and ... the lead from Forever Knight? I have a multi-generation down dub of the performance at Stratford, north of you.

Geraint Wyn Davies? I'm jealous, I've never seen it! Who plays what? Man, what a fun cast that would be. Straford is such a great festival. They get everyone, sometimes in some pretty odd roles.

Definitely not enough Greg. So much for him having more screentime this year because of the whole wanting to be a CSI thing. Cheaters, giving us Hodges instead is just not fair.
