He's like the new black, only cuter and I really hope we get to see him being Tech Guy now that Greg's graduated up to Hot-Yet-Nerdy Investigator Guy.
Oh, me too (and great description for Greg, btw). Pity about Bobby moving on, though. At least the new guy is nice to look at (I'm so shallow).
Actually, I just loved everything about Sara tonight.
This was my favorite Sara ep in ages. I love her in full geek-girl mode. Smart, funny, snarky, pretty, checking out the firefighters, dissing Gil... it was the most fun she's been in far too long. The case, though. Euch. That was vile.
ITA on the "dumb-ass cops with attitudes" theme- it seemed OOC for the show, which has generally had a pretty pro-cop view (yeah, the Sheriff is a jerk, but he's a politician). I don't know, it just seemed like the writers were short a subplot and reached into the TV cliche grabbag. And the Gil/Brass fight flared up out of nowhere and vanished back into nowhere (because of how well they know each other or something?). Weird.
I do love Brass though. He's just so wry, and he and Gil have a great rapport. Albert, too- I'm a big Albert fan. It's always good to see characters who work well with Gil but don't pine away for his approval. Gil even said he was wrong and apologized to Brass last night! I was amazed.
I think I'm the only person who's not surprised that Nick's old college friend Kenny was just a plot device to get Nick to emote last week. Because Lord knows we need more reasons for him to get all teary so the fangirls can feel justified in tormenting him.
Snerk. Wait, do you mean, Nick isn't a big soppy mess who crumbles into tears (and sometimes insanity) at the first opportunity? Huh, go figure. Anyway. I wasn't really surprised, given the show's record with minor characters and character continuity, but I was still kind of hoping that he'd matter a little more. I mean, what was the point of that whole "Nick screws up again" plotline, other than a clumsy way to prolong the show by moving the crime scene? Did we really need another "Nick screws up in some extremely rookie way" plot? Stop writing him like an idiot, guys. He isn't one.
And I just can't help wanting Martin to have him, because he gets that adorable shy grin whenever Danny flirts with him, and it's so boyish and lovely and I want him to be happy.
Hee! Yes, exactly! I'm still not through being mad at Danny, but this episode helped a lot, what with the Martin flirting and the casual revelation of more sad details of his past. Big dramatic bludgeoning revelations lose me quickly, but just tossing stuff like "teen alcoholic" out there and moving on works for me. Subtle is good.
So yeah, Danny's still in the doghouse, but he makes Martin happy, so as long as he keeps that up...
The accounting thing amused me terribly. So random and so geeky. I like carlton97's idea that the writers use a dart board to plan this stuff. Either that or one of those "cootie catcher" things from fifth grade. Next week we'll find out that Martin is destined to have a pink minivan and live in a castle with Nick Rhodes.
