Oh, wow. I've never known anyone who's seen The Worst Witch movie before. I *loved* that movie as a kid, and even now I'll sit down and watch contentedly. Such fun. And Tim Curry, as a sex symbol! One of the few roles in which he wasn't a villian, and even then he had that spooky vibe going on.
Return to Oz is traumatizing? Huh. I always thought the Gnome King was a bit scary for the little ones, but I liked the movie well enough as a kid. It was a fairly good adaptation of the book (although it was a little boy in the book, not Dorothy again), if a bit dark in tone.
