Oddly enough, this article makes me feel *better* about the movie in a lot of ways. I want them to be true to the books, but I also want the movie to be good and to do well, and I understand that liberties may have to be taken. Plus, I can forgive actors who don't quite meet physical descriptions of characters more than I can forgive getting characterization and other stuff wrong.
I'm so glad they're not going to water down the nautical jargon. Whee!
The Rose is indeed a lovely ship, and I'm looking forward to seeing her in action :)
