Thenk you! It's funny to go back and read my posts on this movie, because I was so cautious about saying "OMGNorringtonSqueeeeeeeeeee!" like I wanted to. *g* I fell hard for him right off, but it took a while for fandom in general to click to him (and some still haven't and never will, alas), and I guess I didn't want to offend anyone. I don't know, I can't remember what I was thinking at the time, but it is kind of funny for me to see myself being all cautious about the "hey, you know, that Norrington is really a rather excellent fellow" factor.
He's *ruthless* in his competency and that, on top of his being a true gentleman *and* a stone-cold fox? What's not to love? I'd also like to take a moment to point out that the pirate he unflinchingly shoots in the heart before taking out his sword and opening a can of Naval whup-ass? Is Koehler. Koehler was bad-ass enough to *sass Barbossa* earlier in the movie.
Dude, exactly. How anyone can resist him when he does stuff like that, I'll never know. But I certainly see why his crew is willing to follow him into a battle unlike any they've fought before. I would.
Re: okay, I know this comment is over a year late, but ...
