Understand, on the fires. We're about 4-5 miles from the nearest fire line, but it's all houses inbetween us and it, including the high school used as the command center for the fire. Far as I'm concerned, we're safe. But I grew up on the Ring of Fire, so I'm accustomed to nature having all the control in her own hands.
Though as declineandfall pointed out tonight on the phone, I was too paranoid on the 10th floor of the Phoenix Hilton to leave the balcony door open all night (I read a lot of spec ops fiction and non-fiction), yet I'm not worried about the fire. Straining gnats and swallowing camels seems to be my operational style.
On to the guys. Yeah, not as blatant and cat-like as Methos, but definitely dangerous possibilities exist. Dangerous being the workplace thing, of course. And yeah, some of the body language spoke volumes. :-) Now that I'm paying closer attention.
I'm doing almost anything to avoid working on the projects I should be working on, and now my brain is wondering what it can come up with in this direction. Evil influences abound. :-) So far my fanfic has all been with Nick Lea characters, at least since the early 80s. Maybe it's time to write Feebs. Hmm. There's always the requalification at Quantico.
