However, funny you should say there isn't much in "Kam Li" because I was looking for it this time and you were right all along -- there is some energy there, at least of the low-key variety. When Jack and Martin get back from DC and Martin's looking so wiped, Danny looks truly worried, and makes a point of asking Jack about him.
My apologies for not immediately reading the recommended story, but the nearby Aspen fire has given me a really crappy headache that probably won't go away unless the wind totally changes direction or the monsoon finally starts, which won't be for at least a couple of weeks. (sigh) Which is also my excuse for this paltry response to some very thought-provoking posts that make me want to be truly bad and not make my own deadlines at all in the effort to write this pairing. But I have stuff due Monday. I must be good. (whimper)
