It truly is a great throw-away scene. :) And it really serves to highlight the contrast between how much territorial head-butting they were doing at the beginning—it was positively disconcerting to see the tension between them in last week's rerun of the second episode (Birthday Boy) and then their level of comfort and nonverbal communication in VfH after watching the two back to back!
And people say they can't see the slash in this show... ;) ::shakes head::
