So, a month until Century City...
Feb. 19th, 2004 03:51 pmI keep forgetting that it's Thursday. Six, seven times today I've absolutely dead sure that it was Wednesday, which doesn't bode well for the rest of this week. Thursday, self, not Wednesday, so remember to watch CSI/WaT tonight. Argh, this week is endless. Anyway, here's an article on WaT, with small spoilers for tonight's ep and next week's, plus one big Danny spoiler (nonspecifically "upcoming"). I've no idea if it's the same spoiler posted this morning by
nekosmuse, since she'd deleted it by the time I got online, but it doesn't sound like the same one. Anyway.
Right then, Ioan Gruffudd! Yay for Ioan, he's a much happier thing than this season of WaT has been. The official site for his new "Lawyers! of The Future!" show, Century City, is up, though it's still pretty bare bones. I'm fairly leery about this show, Ioan, Viola Davis and Hector Elizondo notwithstanding. Was the world in desperate need of another lawyer show? This particular variation on the theme has potential, but not all of that potential is for good, and while I might have a weakness for genre cheese like, say, The Outer Limits, the networks tend not to agree. So we'll see. With the right people involved, it could be good. Maybe. Ioan's the "self-critical and earnest" young associate, of course. At least it's a type he has a knack for playing. I'm amused to see Nestor Carbonnell's character is a lawyer-slash-former congressman. Dang, that's evil. Senor Senior Senior must be so proud of his boy. And the wardrobe people seem to be pushing the Gattaca angle pretty hard with Kristin Lehman, who's a familiar face from a big pile of the aforementioned genre cheese (hope that's not a bad sign). I mean, she was in Psi Factor. She's paid her dues. So I hope Century City lives up to its cast and crew. We'll see in a month, I guess.
