because I don't want to go be responsible. And speaking of spam, normal people get spam about meeting singles in their area, watching "teen girlz go wild!!!!1", and those pasta pots for people who can't use a colander. I never get that stuff. Instead I get the usual porn, except in French (huh?), and offers to refinance the mortgage I don't have, addressed to my father, who has never once used my email or even my computer. How does his name get on my spam?

Nothing of substance (or spoilery) to say about last night's CSI or Without a Trace except both were good, as usual. I still hate Hodges and hope he soon stars in a "Very Special Episode" where they find his body on one side of Vegas and his head on the other, and I really like the Brass/Nick dynamic (not in a slashy way, of course, since Nicky is Greg's). Treat Nicky like he has a brain and he rises to the occasion. Plus, he and Sara were very cute and sibling-y. The longer they keep Sara away from making puppy-dog eyes at Gil, the better I like her.

Without a Trace was very much lacking Martin/Danny scenes, alas. Danny was even more wired than usual, and was still flirting with everything that stands still long enough to have eyelashes batted at it. Oh, and he and Vivian were wearing the same suit. Must have been a sale on navy pinstripes.

Firefly obsession is still going strong. I was sorting some old Nancy Drew books this morning, and came across The Secret of Shadow Ranch. And even though I knew better, I still had to stop and tell myself, no, it isn't the story of Mal's childhood. More's the pity.

My Beowulf/Rohan notes are looking at me reproachfully. "Don't you love us anymore?" I hate it when I lose momentum on a project- it's so hard to get it back. It'll get done eventually, I know, but I'm going to have to sit down and force myself to write. And the thought makes me tired.

Oh well, time to go order some comic books. Then I guess I should get something accomplished, since I've frittered the day away. Mmm, fritters. Maybe I'll cook instead.
