"Play With Fire" and "Friendly Skies," again

Hm, yes, baseball. Let us not speak of that. Repress, repress, repress.

So! Repeats of CSI and WaT tonight. Greg got blown up in "Play With Fire", poor dear, and Nick drowned himself in his work. Thank goodness for fic where they work out their issues and have lots of good comfort to go with the hurt. And while Nick and Greg didn't have any scenes together, at least there good scenes for all three of my other favorite Nick relationships: with Brass (as mentor, and a better one than Gil, for all he's a cop and not a CSI), Archie (as buddy) and Sara (as teasable sibling). There was even another Nick/Archie scene that we didn't get to see, glimpsed when Sara was stalking Gil around the office. Pity, I'd much rather have seen my geek boys than poor Sara causing herself pain and then getting caught in the explosion (Greg! Wah!). Also a good, albeit far too brief, moment for Nick, when he asked Sara if she'd ever had a gun pulled on her- he's a gun-magnet compared to the rest of the team, and I wonder if he's ever talked to anyone about that. Doubt it.

Seeing Hodges again made me remember how much I don't like him and haven't missed him yet this season. I wonder what the rumors from LA he's so scared of are about. I also wonder how his crush on Nick is going. Pine away, Annoying Boy! Nyah!

As for WaT, "Friendly Skies" is okay, not inspired, but it has some good moments and it held up pretty well (better than "Fallout" at least, which I liked the first time and was annoyed by the second). I like Danny and Sam's gender-free banter about his date at the beginning. "The lucky" who? Sam's cop was a cutie, though something of a pest. I wouldn't mind seeing more of him this season, instead of the misguided mating dance we'll be getting. Martin is always noshing on something at the office. It's cute. Poor orally-fixated workaholic. He also was completely oblivious to the fact that while he was watching Sam in the bar, Danny was gazing at him. I'm surprised he couldn't feel Danny's eyes on him, actually. Aw. Cover, schmover, that was gazing with intent. La la la I like my world...

Fashion report- Eric apparently hadn't ticked off the costumer yet, because he (mostly) looked really good in this one. His outfit in the bar, especially- that dark brown suede jacket was a winner, very warm and casually stylish. Nice. He also had some preppy-pretty suits, and only one utterly hideous tie (at least one other was not great, but compared to his current choices it was downright attractive). The checked shirt was nowhere to be seen! Yay! This ep was from my favorite period for his hair (the mid-length spikes), too, so that was a plus. Danny started okayish and got progressively weirder by the end. Purple shirts? He's a wild one. And he needs a hairbrush, still, for the bedhead.

Random Question,

while I'm thinking of it (randomly). Is anyone planning to buy the Forever Knight DVDs that are coming out next week? Anyone, say, who would be willing and able to make me a copy of episode #4, "For I have Sinned," to tide me over until such time as I can get myself the set without having to sell an organ to do so?
